Outraged by the lack of puppets.
I remember Magnum Dynalab had an FM broadcast analyzer.
My dog jumped straight up out of her sleep haha
Please bequethe me all your unwanted toys… Love these vids thanks.
Would something like this affect the sound quality?
Have you tried push following as input: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnL40CbuodU
I have a pioneer amp sa520 it old and I always give it a light dusting inside to stop arcing from component to component I also have the timer unit to switch on
I'll stick with SmartLive
wow, so old & awesome… cool
Lovely bit of kit!
17:03 awesome just awesome!
Add longevity, dial back the intensity a bit.
Moan, groan…… absolutely worthless piece of equipment. When stereo/hi fi got rolling, I caught the disease, but was cured before making a major buying mistake like this. I eventually pursued a electronic design career where an oscilloscope told you something useful about a circuit. To each his own ….. (: >

Techmoan, so you have a European accent, a large amount of technical knowledge, a very elegant playback system and well; I was expecting some Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin or at least some Coltrane, Miles, Monk or Bird. Nah, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock! Brother, you just need a boombox to play that back right. Haha I am not mad at you though; you are truly brilliant. I would highly recommend a classic boombox from GE, Sharp or Panasonic as a proper listening utility. Shalom
Send it to Mr.Carlson… He'd probably love to tune it up…
This product has utility only if you love Lissajous figures or LSD.
Wow! I just found your channel. This vid is great!
When I was a kid we had a Centrex (by Pioneer) integrated stereo (AM/FM, cassette, record player on top) and an external 8-Track player similar to yours (though yours seems to have a few more buttons and whistles). Circa 1977 or '78.
Thanks for doing this video. This was very cool.
Keep going!
I have a hi-fi cabinet with clear glass doors. If I had everything you have I would get a 2ed one and have them side by side. The only thing that does not fit in it, is my Sony Reel-2-Reel.
Excellent video
Great stuff. I really enjoy going back to my old days of analogue hi-fi. You could of course consider one day to try out looking into the Googlephonics systems of the 1979 Steve Martin Live comedy albums days. LOL. Not that funny I know but in North America it was the biggest thing since…..Doedeckephonics. You've probably heard this one before (Perhaps to ad nauseam) but in case not here's the 3 min clip. https://youtu.be/Cjjsz14hL48

i love all those vintage 70's and 80's stereo equipment. If i only knew better, then i would have starting buying them all up in the late 80's early 90's,
because in those days, people practicaly gave al these fine equipment away in garages sales and flee markets
Oh, a fruit basket on top – 1/20 the lifetime of the Pioneer, probably. 😉
Btw the scope is supposed to flatten out when the level meters hit 0dB, above 0dB is clipping!
Cooool!!
I know dudes being hard-core audiophiles, who would KILL for a unit like this! You sure are lucky, TM!
I was writing an oscilloscope program for audio that did sweep only and immediately added XY mode after seeing this. Even got it to rotate the points 45 degrees so left and right would be flat. Thanks for the inspiration!
epic device
Having cooked a lot of Pioneer equipment of that vintage, a nice addition to any of it is a PC cooling fan to get some airflow through the cab. Passive doesn't cut it forever.
